Positive Education

Positive Education Mentor

The Positive Education teacher is the first port of call for both parents and students if personal, academic or family issues arise. It is important that Positive Education teachers and their students build positive relationships. Positive Education lessons occur once a week and in this time students follow a Positive Education curriculum focused on the personal, social, ethical and intercultural capabilities of the Victorian curriculum.

Charter of Respect

The Albert Park College community of students, parents and staff is committed to providing an orderly, safe, caring and stimulating environment that allows all students to reach their potential.

We believe that this is achieved through:

  • the promotion of respect for self and others, for property and for the environment;
  • the development of courteous, considerate and co-operative ways of behaving; and
  • taking responsibility for personal actions.

The Charter of Respect has been drawn up to help all members of the school community increase their understanding of the school's Code of Conduct, daily practices relating to student engagement and the expectations that it places on all of us.

Child Safe

APC is committed to child safety. Children should be safe in all school environments and outside school hours when in our care.

We want children to be safe, happy and empowered. We support and respect all children, as well as our staff and volunteers. We are committed to the safety, participation and empowerment of all children enrolled in our school.
